I Don't Mind Making Jokes, But I Don't Want To Look Like One - Marilyn Monroe
An x-ray of Marilyn Monroe's chest is to go under the hammer in Las Vegas as part of a sale of items related to the movie icon.
The x-ray was made at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in 1954 and was later used by a doctor to teach his students. It is estimated by Julien's Auctions to sell for between £500 and £800 at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas in June.
Another highlight of the sale is an unopened bottle of Marilyn-owned Chanel No 5 perfume. Monroe was asked in 1953 what she wore in bed and famously replied: "Why, Chanel No 5, of course."
Also for sale is a couch from the office of Monroe's therapist, Dr. Ralph Greenson. He began treating Marilyn after her breakdown while filming the Misfits. Other lots at the Hollywood Legends auction include Marilyn's prompt book from Something's Got to Give, skis used in an early photo shoot and a chair from Monroe's final photo shoot for Life magazine.
Marilyn once said "the body is meant to be seen, not all covered up" but I don't think she meant this uncovered!

She's still got it!
