I'm Not Smart Enough And I Don't Know Enough About What's Going On - George Clooney

An unexploded Second World War bomb has been discovered outside George Clooney's Lake Como villa.

The 500lb explosive was discovered 15 yards underwater in Lake Como just in front of the actor's 30-bed mansion, Villa Oleandra. Bomb squad experts raced to the scene on the shores of the Italian lake in the Lombardy region.

The entire town of Laglio surrounding the villa was sealed off while specialist teams of officers disabled the device. As well as the bomb - thought to be an ordinance dropped from a WWII bomber - Italian police said they also found mines and other raw explosives.

Clooney is not currently staying at the villa which he bought in 2001 for about £6m. In February he announced plans to sell the villa, once owned by the Heinz family, sparking a bidding war between David and Victoria Beckham and a Russian vodka billionaire. It is expected to sell for about £25m.

Maybe the bomb was put there by the villagers to put the Beckhams off...

It wasn't the first bomb that George had been in...
