The president of Washington state's West Seattle Soccer Club said his dog took an envelope of fund-raising money and ate $300 in cash and $900 in cheques.

Bill Fry said he found a $50 bill on his deck when he returned home and initially thought it was a lucky find until he discovered an envelope containing $600 in cash and $900 in cheques was missing from on top of his dresser.

Fry said he found about $300 buried in his yard and noticed scraps of money in the droppings of Cosmo, his 5-year-old lab-shepherd mix. Fry said he will replace the swallowed cash and he is hoping soccer parents who wrote the cheques will send replacements.

Can't help but think that the idiot here is the one who left the envelope lying around...
