A Massachusetts woman has denied allegations she chased her husband with a knife because he wouldn't help with her hair weave.

Lynn police said Kenneth Rudolph, 48, called 911 Saturday and he told arriving officers his wife, Kaukauna Gethers Rudolph, 51, had chased him with a 15-inch knife because he refused to help her while she was taking out her old hair weave in preparation for putting in new extensions.

Police said the wife was holding the knife behind her back when they arrived. She was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest. However, Kaukauna Gethers Rudolph said she never asked her husband to help with her hair. "Men do not know how to do a woman's hair," she said. "Would you trust your husband to do your hair?"

She said she had asked her husband to cook some food while she was working on her hair but he refused and said he was going out. She said they argued because she did not want him to leave while "tipsy" and she was holding the knife when police arrived because she was preparing to cook.
