A California couple have wed over Skype, with the bride in church and the groom in the hospital.

Helen Oh, 27, exchanged vows with Samuel Kim via video conferencing on Saturday at Grace Ministries in Fullerton, with her father officiating. "Helen, my wife, I'm very, very sorry for not being able to walk you down the aisle or stand at the altar, but today is just one day. We're going to live for a very long time," said Kim, also 27. "I promise to be a perfect husband from now on to make up for this."

"I completely expected to postpone our wedding, but my fiancée, she really insisted," Kim said from his room at UC Irvine Medical Centre in Orange. He declined to explain why he was there, but said he was in quarantine for a few weeks. About 500 guests attended the wedding, with many flying in from abroad. Kim missed the reception, but Oh visited him in the hospital on Saturday evening.

Won't say what he was in for? My guess is knob rot!
