I Am Just Going For Toothpaste And May Be Some Time...

Tesco is currently trialling a shopping trolley sat nav app to help Android phone users find their way around the store.

Shoppers at the store's Tesco Extra in Romford are being recruited to help the supermarket chain test its new service, which aims to enable customers to find items from their shopping list more easily. The app shows you where all your wanted products are on a store map, where you are on that map, and helps guide you round the store to pick up your products using the shortest route.

You can also build up a shopping list and send it to another customer with the same app so that they can do your shopping for you. There are no plans to roll out the app across other stores yet, as Tesco is establishing whether customers will actually use the app. Nick Lansley said on the Tech4Tesco blog: 'We won't be rolling this out to customers in general for a while because we have to think about how useful it's going to be. It would be awful if we did all this work but few customers really used it.'

Maybe if they just stopped moving stuff around...

We have to go back... we need bog roll!
