Heather Mills is being lined up for the next series of ITV1's Dancing On Ice, according to a report.

The estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney is apparently hoping that the programme will help her to win over the British public.

Rumours that Mills could be a contestant follow her success on US series Dancing With The Stars, which saw her picking up consistently positive comments from the show's judges.

A source said: "Heather changed her image in America - and she knows it. She now wants to try the same thing over here and Dancing On Ice would be perfect."

Mills has previously been rumoured for Strictly Come Dancing, but the BBC later denied the speculation.

Heather when will you ever learn. You did the dirty to one of the best loved surviving Beatles. A large part of the British public will never like you regardless of what you do. That's why Princess Diana had to fake her own death and get a job in Aldi after she dumped Ringo... but that's a story for another day.
