Not All Roams Lead To Rhodes

Three Norwegian tourists who believed they were on their way to the Greek holiday island of Rhodes ended up in the French town of Rodez instead.

A spelling mistake led to the three, Bente, Marit and Knut, landing in the historic mountain community, north of Toulouse.

The town is proud of its old city centre which dates back to around 1200, but it is far from the famous white beaches of Rhodes.

The problem was caused by a slight keying error when the three ordered their tickets via the internet, reports the Norway Post.

In the end, they decided to return to their home mountains instead.

I don't know why they were so fussy. Rodez seems very nice to me. Much nicer than Volvic which just turned out to be one big bottling plant.

Well you can't blame the sat nav...

The original was here.
