Armed robbers in Uruguay served customers who came into the sports shop they were raiding before making their getaway.

Police in Montevideo said the armed gang had held up the sporting goods store, and had already locked one employee in a back room.They were forcing another employee to hand over money when some customers walked into the store.

It's not clear if the criminals wanted to hide the fact that a robbery was going on, or just spotted the chance to grab some extra cash.But they subsequently spent thirty minutes selling the shop's wares to the customers.

They then jumped into a waiting truck and escaped with cash from the tills and goods from the store.Police say they don't know how much was stolen in the raid.
