Panned by fans before he even said a single line, he has turned out to possibly be the surprise casting that may turn into the best Bond ever.
The film looks to be a more faithful return to the books with a vulnerable Bond, not too many gadgets, and no bevy of beauties. Do you think this is the correct approach, or should the Bond film UIniverse be separate to that of the books?
I've just watched it and it's brilliant. No daft gadgets, no stupid comments, no 'sexy' interludes. Just action and a rattling good story.

I think it's good thing to return to the style of the books and the earlier films. The franchise was starting to become a farce particularly the woeful Roger Moore ones. Dalton and Brosnan had started to turn the tide back and the gauntlet has been passed to Daniel Craig.
