The phone reinvented.
Is the iPhone the phone re-invented, or just a prettied up but still rather normal smartphone?
At last, after months of speculation, rumours, and inaccurate Photoshop renditions, Apple has released the iPhone.| Results | |

Except, of course, it's not just a phone. It has a the usual stuff; camera, music, agenda etc., but there is so much more besides.
For one, there is no keypad. The front of the phone is a touch sensitive screen, designed to be operated with fingers (not a stylus in sight).
The iPod part of the phone plays videos as well as music.
It also has WI-FI built in, and Internet access include browser, mail, Google Maps and dashboard widgets.
And, it knows which way up it is. Turn it on its side, and the display changes itself to landscape mode.
Basically, this is the must have phone for the next year or two.
Buy me one, please!
Once the awe of Steve Jobs' presentation wore off, this really didn't look that wonderful.

There is also some stiff competition from LG, who have a very similar phone coming out soon.

Not at all. I think it looks well cool.

I used my first mac while you were still in short trousers. I've always thought their computers were innovative and attractive. I've got an ipod shuffle which has served me well for nigh on two years. I'm not anti-apple in any way. It's just that I think they might be trying to squeeze too much into this one and would rather wait to see if they manage to make them last longer than the guarantee.

You're just not brainwashed like me.

Go scabby eyed watching videos on a 3.5" screen covered in fingerprints? Will it be as reliable as the Nano? Doesn't say what the ipod capacity is or what mobile network it's on or how long the battery lasts. I await to be convinced.
