I'm Not Surprised That Goat Herder Was So Lonely...

Songs from The Sound of Music have been used to flush out youngsters from a youth club.

Activities at the Hilton Community Centre in Inverness are so popular, staff have problems getting them to leave at closing time. Now a quick blast of "My Favourite Things" and "The Hills Are Alive" are being played to disperse them. Starring Julie Andrews, the 1965 film was a huge hit and later became a sell-out stage production.

Highland councillor John  Finnie explained: "There has been a lot of work which has gone into the facilities at Hilton Community Centre. They are so very much appreciated by the young folk that they are very keen to hang around and don't want to go home at 10pm. So this is a creative use of music - classical music, musicals and if things get really awkward I understand nursery rhymes will be deployed."

I think that I would stay at home all night rather than run the risk hearing that at the end of the night!

The rush for the last bus was easily confused with panic...
