The Name To Trust For Genuine One Owner Motor Cars
Ron Frost, 78, paid £5,800 in 1989 for the G-reg cherry-red Mini. Car enthusiast Ron added it to the collection in his private motoring museum and the longest trip it has ever made was 60 miles.
Only three people have driven the 998cc vehicle. All its parts are original, the paintwork is perfect and even the oil has never had to be changed. David Hollis, of the British Mini Club, said: "It's very rare to see cars in pristine condition after so many years. If it went to auction I think it could fetch between £6,500 and £7,000."
Retired mechanic Ron, of Willand, near Tiverton, Devon, said: "She was the first model to have alloy wheels. We keep her inside most of the time. She's only been washed twice." His wife Glenda, 74, admitted: "I prefer my old Morris Minor really. I used to use them when I was a district nurse."
Only washed twice? Sounds like my car!
